Exclusive TOIOU video-interview with Moment Factory

Earlier this year, we invited you to submit questions for an exclusive interview with Moment Factory that would follow the Montreal screening of AVOTT. We selected some of the best questions (thanks for asking, but no, we didn't ask her for Trent's phone number) and made that interview on March 19th 2010.

Split up in three 720p YouTube videos, it's about 25 minutes long and goes pretty in-depth about technical details of the Lights In The Sky Tour's visual production. Click here to view all three parts.

Showcase: ToToM

Nine Inch Nails fans also have a strong history of remixing songs. nin.com's remix website has created a platform for thousands of fans, of all tastes and competencies, to try out their mixing skills, vote for their favourite tracks, and create their own playlists. Perhaps the most prolific remixer in the community is mash-up artist ToToM, who has combined NIN songs with the work of Depeche Mode, Dr Dre, and Justin Timberlake.

Here, he explains what got him interested in NIN mashups, and his latest project, "The Shup"

Showcase: Your World On Fire

Following the mysterious release of Lights in the Sky footage, and the granting of an open camera policy for Nine Inch Nails' 2009 tour, an increasing number of fans attended shows with recording equipment. The impetus to document these events was heightened by the growing belief that this tour (named "Wave Goodbye") could be the band's last. This in turn spurred a series of video and audio projects.

First out is NIN|JA KC - a DVD of the Kansas City show on May 27th 2009, of which the NIN portion, Your World on Fire is now available for download and stream

Read on for more about this project by its creators.

This One Is On Us presents: Another Version of the Truth: Las Vegas

Las Vegas is the final part of the Another Version of the Truth collection, and is exclusively community-created.

Filmed entirely by fans and co-ordinated by Alex Gamble, this release saw the community fly in from around the world, donate technology, skill, and even airfare (fans raised money to send chaonatic, a valued taper, to the concert) to document the final performance of Nine Inch Nails' stunning 2008 tour. Over 200GB of footage was collected, which was meticulously edited together by a team comprising of people from all over the world.

Major distribution update (I couldn't wait)

I was going to wait until the weekend to get onto this, but well, you know, I guess I'm just "on one" today, heh...

A lot's been happening, and I thought it was about time for a brain dump.

PayPal woes - details at the weekend...

Short version - PayPal is imposing an impossible restriction on our activities. To resolve this, I want to refund as many PayPal transactions as possible.

Long version - coming at weekend. Click through for more info...

Expanded initial distribution run (AKA ordering reopened)

I spent 4 hours last night analyzing orders, calculating shipping costs and running through a shit load of possible scenarios. To make a long story short, we currently have 1288 BD/DVD orders and 750 DVD orders. Having done the calculations, I'm going to extend this to 2,000 BD/DVD sets and 2,000 DVD sets. I'll be checking on order counts daily, and when the BD/DVD sets run out (as I'm sure they will), I'll remove them from the order page, and will do a final cut off when the DVD sets sell out. Once we have completed this run we can examine whether or not to focus on getting a small, simple run of just BD discs organized for those that missed out and had to order the DVD set. I've also been examining some other fulfillment options that we can use after this first run, so it won't be the end of things even if you do miss out on this run!

Ordering BD/DVD sets is now up and running (for real!)

You can now order BD/DVD sets through our new PayPal account. Before you order, we strongly recommend that you read this. It should answer most of your questions, and will save you from looking like an idiot by asking a question we have already answered.

Everything is lined up to get these mailed in the week beginning March 15th March 22nd (taking into account delays in Gift BluRay and Vegas DVD). I will be signing off on the print order Tuesday 2nd March. Pictures will follow as things start to arrive.

We did have PayPal issues - these have been resolved. Click through to read what happened and how we fixed it.
